I am writing this to inform how Eileen Drummond has improved the quality
of our lives. My husband and I are retired and several months ago welcomed
a very energetic and happy puppy into our home. We fell in love with her
instantly but realized that we really needed more knowledge in reference
to discipline for her, so we enrolled in dog obedience classes. This eventually
developed into a very bad experience. The instructor almost immediately
wrote our dog off as being too much for us and conveyed the idea that we
had an un-trainable dog.
After weeks of soul searching and knowing deep in our hearts that we had
a wonderful, intelligent dog we decided to try another course of dog obedience
classes. After inquiring around, Eileen was referred to us. She immediately
recognized our dog’s potential and never gave up on her. Eileen continuously
offered encouragement, tips on discipline and various harnesses to use to
prevent pulling. Whatever she offered worked.
We now have a disciplined, happy, energetic dog that is a certified therapy
dog and we have had many good experiences visiting nursing homes, mental
health facilities and activities with children. This has been such a positive
experience in retirement and has added an important dimension to our lives.
Thank you Eileen!

Dear Ms. Drummond,
Thank you very much for your beginner obedience class, which I recently
attended. Because of my good manners and willingness to listen to my family,
I am able to go many places and am a delight to be around. We also appreciated
your flexablility by letting us attend your other class, if we sometimes
could not make ours. You answered all of our class' questions and helped
to solve individual problems. Because of your dedication, we may call
you at any time for additional advice. And since I plan to volunteer as
a therapy dog when I get older, your generosity provides extra help free
of charge. Thanks again for providing a real community service at a very
affordable price.
A grateful student,
Loki

I am a client of Eileen Drummond. I met her
in 1999 and have been training with her ever since not only with my own
personal dogs but with many rescues that have been either abandoned or
surrendered for all different reasons. I feel all dogs should be obedience
trained and supervised socialization is a must. I began training with
her in winter 1999 with my 1 year old rescued English Mastiff, Duchess.
She was very shy with people. I never had a dog like this before and I
did not know how to deal with this problem. I talked with her on the telephone
and then attended one of her classes with Duchess so she could evaluate
and help me resolve this problem. She gave me advice and exercises on
how to help her through this problem. In fall 2000 I tested Duchess for
Canine Good Citizen and a Therapy Dog and she passed. She now visits nursing
homes, kids camps, hospitals, and many other community events. My next
dog to be trained was a rescued Labrador Retriever puppy. Bailey was 4
months old when she came into my life. She had been a stray that was hit
by a car and suffered a broken leg. We started attending classes right
away just for socialization and after she recovered we participated in
the obedience classes and she was also certified as a Canine Good Citizen
and Therapy Dog. Blackie, a Border Collie/Pitbull mix, was another rescue
that I trained through Eileen. This dog was much more difficult to train
because she was deaf, 8 years old and had never been out of an outside
kennel. She successfully completed training and was also certified as
a Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog. Snoopy, an older Beagle Mix, was
another rescue that I trained through Eileen. Snoopy was a victim of a
hit, run and left for dead accident. She luckily recovered and was also
certified as a Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog. I have trained many
other dogs through Eileen. Most of these dogs were abandoned and abused
and looking for a new home. Eileen's training has successfully help these
dogs find their new forever homes. Her knowledge and years of experience
has made her a great trainer. She is very knowledgeable of all different
breeds and if she is not familiar with one she will research to find out
about the particular breed. She has many suggestions/solutions for problems
you might encounter with your dog. I work at a local veterinarians office
and many of our clients ask for a recommended obedience instructor. Eileen
Drummond is highly recommended through our office.
To anyone who has a dog,
I would highly recomend Eileen's puppy class or obidiance class. I got a
german shepard pup 2 1/2 months old. He was agresive, dominant and a face
biter. I had no idea what to do. My vet recomened Eileen. Eileen called
me (I'm long distance) she gave me sugestions and invited me to come to
a class and she would show me what to do. I tried to pay her and she refused,
she just wanted to help for my dogs sake. I did what she told me to and
I have the most loving calm handsome little pup. It took very little work
thanks to her knowlage. I just needed to show him lovingly that I was master.
I enroled in her puppy class and he is so good, for me and with the other
pups and people. I use her technicks on my other 2 german shepards 10, &
11 and they do what I ask and love it. I no longer yell or scold and my
dogs and they are a joy to be around. They behave. I will be enrolling in
Eileen's other classes and my pup will be training for a therapy dog. He
is so calm now I can't belive it myself. I have a 3 year old grandson and
I no longer have any fear letting the 2 of them play. Eileen knows her breeds
and what each breed needs, it is amazing to watch her at class talk to each
of us with our different breeds and needs. Plus, any questions she lets
you call her she doesn't charge she does it out of love for dogs and that
is the only kind of trainer I'd ever use. Eileen I thank you from the bottem
of my heart!!
